Band promo hi-res photo

Plezi Rara is a new rara band formed in October of 2016 in Brooklyn, NY. Our talented musicians come from a wide range of musical backgrounds leading back to Haiti. They focus their hard work and dedication into mastering the craft of rara making their sound unique like no other band. Plezi Rara created a bond where they can not only speak to each other through their words, but also through the language of music. They’ve learned to express themselves, their thoughts, and their feelings through music. Plezi Rara has become so proficient in their artistry, that they can select music from other genres and backgrounds and translate them into rara. Their love for music and their country gifted them a passion unimaginable. For any interest in recent band activity check us out on social media platforms at Plezi Rara.

What is your band’s mission?

Our main goal is to spread the love the haitian way. In the haitian culture we are all one nation, we are all brothers and sisters. And here we try to maintain that love and unity. Our main focus is to give back, and help reconstruct our country. And to show the world what hidden gems and talent Haiti has to offer.

For many years Haiti has been labeled the poorest country. Throughout all of our hardships all haitians have always had each other. Our mission is simply to bring awareness to our haitian people. To show the world that there’s more to us than labels. Our country is rich in love, festivities, crops, talent, tradition, and most importantly unity. We are here to bridge the gap between Haiti and the world around it. We won’t stop until we do just that.
