HONK! in the Neighborhoods: Visiting bands played for students at local Boys & Girls Clubs, and alongside local community bands in Union Square Somerville, East Boston, and Boston.
Boston Common
Members of Minor Mishap Marching Band (Austin, TX), the Leftist Marching Band (Portsmouth, NH), and the Walk Out Loud Parade (Allston, MA) joined forces at the Food not Bombs meal. Corner of Park and Tremont Street on Boston Common. (3:00 – 5:00 PM)
Union Square, Somerville
The Rude Mechanical Orchestra came up from New York City to blow the house down with members of the Somerville High School Marching Band, Drum Line, and World Percussion Ensemble, as well as local favorites, SheBoom. On the Plaza. (3:00 – 5:00 PM)
East Boston, Zumix
Environmental Encroachment (Chicago, IL) paraded from the Maverick T to Zumix (260 Summer Street) to meet up with the brass and percussion students from Zumix. Should be a blast. (3:00 – 5:00 PM)

MacDanny and DJ Berbere, fresh from their tour with Fendika and Debo Band, threw a Cambridgeport party for New York friends Spanglish Fly and Veveritse , in town for HONK!
