The information on this page is (hopefully!) ordered in the sequence you’ll need it throughout the weekend, meaning first you’ll find directions to Davis Square for the start of the Festival and last you’ll find information on how to get to Providence. Enjoy!
Transportation to Davis Square
Public transportation is available to Davis Square from Logan Airport and North and South Stations between 5am and 12am everyday. T (aka subway) fare = $2.00. Map
From Logan Airport: Take Silver Line SL1 bus to South Station terminal. Transfer to Red Line subway. Take Red Line Outbound towards Alewife. Exit at Davis Square. Travel Time = 50 mins.
From North Station: Take Green Line (any train) Inbound to Park Street Station. Transfer to Red Line Outbound towards Alewife. Exit at Davis Square. Travel Time = 30 mins.
From South Station: Take Red Line subway Outbound towards Alewife. Exit at Davis Square. Travel Time = 20 mins.
Taxis
Taxis are available at both Logan Airport and South Station. Fares will range between $25 and $40. Travel Time = approx. 20 mins.
Location & Parking
VFW Dilboy Hall in Davis Square [map] is HONK! headquarters for the whole weekend. Please always enter through the back door where the HONK! sign is posted. You can leave cases and other belongings there, use the bathrooms, meet, practice, and it’s OK to leave things there overnight until Sunday.
Hours the Hall will be open:
- Friday, 7PM-MIDNIGHT
- Saturday, 10AM to 10PM
- Sunday, 9AM-NOON
A few rules for the Dilboy: (i) please refrain from drinking alcohol in the parking lot; ii) please do not bring any alcohol into the Hall (they will provide a cash bar on Friday and Sunday evenings); (iii) please don’t play music outside after 9 PM; and (iv) no standing on chairs, please. The post continues to be sensitive to complaints from neighbors this year, as they are having ongoing issues with neighbors challenging their alcohol and music licenses.
There is parking in the Dilboy lot beginning 5 PM on Friday, but not overnight (except large vehicles which have made arrangements with us). Dilboy restrooms will be available all day, but you can also find a couple of portable toilets in the Square. Street parking is free and unlimited all day Sunday, and we can also park in the Orthodontist’s lot on Winter St on Saturday, after noon, and all day Sunday. We will also have use of street parking on either side of Summer St. alongside Dilboy Hall, which is meant for large vehicles.

Transportation to HONK! on the Water
To get to Bay State Cruise Company from Harvard Square, take the Red Line INBOUND to South Station. At South Station, change for the Silver Line S1. Exit at World Trade Center (2 stops). Walk out of the station and turn left. Turn right at the first intersection, onto B Street. Cross Seaport Boulevard, and the pier will be straight ahead of you. The Provincetown II is docked toward the end of the pier. [map]
Transportation to PrONK!
To get to Providence from Boston, there are commuter trains for $14 each way, which leave frequently from South Station. Peter Pan Bus also serves this route for $8, leaving every 2 hours.
