1:00 pm – 5:00 pm, ArtHONK!
Roll up your sleeves and participate in artmaking activity with a purpose.
We’re closing Elm Street to cars and turning it into a dynamic arena for interactive art making and activism. Please join in — work with our amazing HONK! artists to create something for yourself or for the Sunday Parade. Learn about some urgent issues with the grass roots volunteers and organizers working on community issues. Help amplify messages for positive change and activist causes with art!
1:00pm – 6:00 pm, The HONK! Portal
To honor our international band comrades who cannot attend this year, there will be a screen set up on Elm Street with a livestream of bands from around the world. At HONK! the portal to the world is always open!

2:00p – Singing Resistance in 7 Hills Park
When ICE invaded Minneapolis, the Singing Resistance demonstrated that when the people come together and lift our voices in song it has the power to unite a movement. You’ll have the opportunity at Honk to learn some of the newest songs filling the streets – songs of courage, of defiance, and of joy and solidarity. Voice can be everybody’s instrument in this version of an activist street “band.” Bring your voice and join us for an hour of singing! No experience needed!
