We formed the DC Activist Street Band (DCASB) as a response to the rise of injustice and authoritarianism, and to bring a spark to protests in Washington DC. Our influences are Honk! and Klezmer but our repertoire also includes traditional resistance songs (some with modernized lyrics).

Music is a uniting force and we intend to bring joy in addition to making a statement. We are an inclusive band, open to all participants regardless of level. The important thing is to SHOW UP.
