TMB Brass is Seattle’s New Orleans-style brass band. TMB is a product of Seattle Public Schools’ outstanding music education programs. We are passionate about promoting music education, making music more accessible in our community, and passing it on to future generations. We love HONK! for the same reasons.

TMB has been filling the streets of Seattle with powerful acoustic brass music since 2011. Formed by students at Roosevelt High School who wanted to blend the sounds of New Orleans Second Line, Jazz, Pop, Funk, and Disco, TMB has played venues and festivals all over Seattle, such as the Paramount Theater, Smith Tower, Nectar Lounge, Northwest Folklife Festival, Honk Fest West, and the Fremont Fair. Outside of our hometown, we have played for crowds in Portland, the San Francisco Bay Area, Los Angeles, New Orleans, Boston, Providence, Austin, the Netherlands (at the Bemmelse Dweildag festival [https://www.dweildag.nl/]), and France (Festival des Fanfare de Montpellier [http://festivalfanfares.fr] and Fête de la Musique [https://fetedelamusique.culture.gouv.fr/]).

TMB Brass aims to be Seattle’s first call for a Second Line and hopes to create a dance party wherever we land.
